Steve Ellman Luncheon

The Variety "Heart of Show Business" luncheon recognizes a milestone in the career of an entertainment industry veteran who has contributed to both the distribution and/or exhibition community as well as to Variety
- The Children's Charity.

On December 8, 2005, the Heart of Show Business Honor was bestowed upon Steve Ellman, VP of National Exhibitor Relations for Universal Pictures as he retired from the North Hollywood-based film studio. Over 500 friends, family and colleagues gathered to celebrate Steve's 31 years at Universal Pictures. Norm Crosby entertained the guests with
his hilarious, timeless humor. Many of Steve's colleagues went to the podium and shared stories, the highlight being Frank Marshall's tribute to Steve as he recounted working with him on mega-hits like the "Back to the Future" and "Indiana Jones" films.

Steve was presented with the "Heart of Show Business" award as well as being presented with the honor of having a Variety Sunshine Coach named after him.
